Two years after the 1st album was released in the corona vortex, the long-awaited 2nd album of Piazzolla from El Cielo 2020 is finally on sale. Compared to the previous work, which had many popular songs, the selection of songs and the content of the music have been stepped in, making it a richer and more passionate work. Includes a total of 12 songs, including the ending of Piazzolla’s greatest and last work, “La Camorra,” the meditative and drug-filled “Soledado,” and the now-popular “Ave Maria.” The artwork on the jacket is by Koichi Iyoda, just like the previous work.

Astor Pantaleón Piazzolla was an Argentine tango composer, bandoneon player, and arranger. His works revolutionized the traditional tango into a new style termed Nuevo tango, incorporating elements from jazz and classical music. A virtuoso bandoneonist, he regularly performed his own compositions with a variety of ensembles.
