The sonatas of Franck Bridge and Benjamin Britten have always had a special place in my cello repertory. The expressive and deeply lyrical richness of the first sonata keeps up with the sublime austerity of the second one. As a prelude, I decided to start the disc with the stunning Fratres by Arvo Pärt, dedicated to B. Britten, the gentle and beautiful melancholy of which invites us to fully enjoy the two amazing sonatas. Hoping you will appreciate! David Louwerse

Since 1830, teachers at the Paris Conservatory and French instrument makers ensured that the oboe established itself anew and increasingly as both an orchestral and popular solo instrument in France. This became particularly noticeable at the turn of the 20th century under the influence of Saint-Saëns, Franck, Vierne, Pierné, who wrote important works for woodwinds – precisely also for the oboe.

Debut release by the descendant of legendary pianist Neuhaus! His first album is a poetic and pianistic masterpiece of Chopin, Scriabin, Schumann and Rachmaninoff. Adi Neuhaus is a young virtuoso with outstanding potential who is rapidly making a name for himself in recent years. 26-year-old Adi Neuhaus’ highly anticipated first album is a collection of works by Chopin, Scriabin, and Stanislav Neuhaus, as well as a selection of his own compositions.

Pianist Adi Neuhaus quickly gained an international reputation as a young virtuoso with outstanding potential – admired for his virtuosity, maturity and musicality. A successor to legendary pianists and pedagogues Heinrich Neuhaus (teacher of Emil Gilels and Sviatoslav Richter) and Stanislav Neuhaus (Brigitte Engerer), Adi began his musical training at the age of five with his mother Irina and father Heinrich.
